Hi, my name is Anastasia Christinaki, and I recently joined Dimitrios Floudas’ research group in the Department of Biology as a postdoctoral researcher.
I completed my PhD in Biology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, where my research focused on fungal secondary metabolism using multi-omics approaches. At Lund, my current research explores how fungi break down wood and the role of iron in this process, using advanced imaging techniques to better understand these fascinating mechanisms.
I come from Greece, and this is my first time living in Sweden. I enjoy music and singing, so if you want a singing buddy, please find me! I also love outdoor activities, playing tennis and discovering new places and cultures.
I’m very excited to start this new chapter at Lund University and to be part of the vibrant research community here!
