Hi everyone!
My name is Daniel Gutierrez, I’m a new PhD student working with David O’Carroll on insect vision. I’m part of the Animal Physiology and the Vision Group.
I’m originally from Colombia, where I worked in entomology and with scorpions’ vision. I did my Master’s in ethology at Linkoping University. I ended up here in Lund three years ago to finish my master’s thesis, working on vision in wasps and stayed. I have worked with different arthropods from scorpions to dung beetles.
I’m excited to be here to work on a comparative study where I will measure and calculate the visual resolution of different insects.
