Erik Selander – new senior lecturer

Hello Biology department!

I am a new lecturer in the Aquatic Ecology section. My research is mainly in aquatic chemical ecology, isolating chemical cues and signals between plankton organisms and establishing their role from cell to ecosystem. I also work on plankton behaviour and currently try to understand why plankton are attracted to point light sources. I am extremely excited to be in Lund, it is a GREAT biology department, and I really look forward to interacting with you all.

My background is in marine biology from the Department of Marine Sciences University of Gothenburg, and DTU Aqua at Denmark’s Technical University in Copenhagen.

Out of office you would probably find me at home with my family, or possibly playing jazz guitar or windsurfing, but with limited success in both.
