Hello!
My name is Teresa and I started my PhD earlier this March at Marita Cohn’s lab. I am particularly interested in the genetically driven processes of cells, and the molecular mechanisms behind them.
I obtained my bachelor’s degree in biotechnology from the University of Valencia, in Spain. After a short ERASMUS stay in Norway, I wanted to stay in the Scandinavian countries for my studies, but somewhere less cold and snowy. That led me to Lund to get my master’s in molecular biology.
Now during my PhD, I will be studying the structure of telomeres, and the molecular genetic mechanisms governing telomere maintenance in yeast.
