Unit day at Aquatic Ecology

Two people are standing behind a table.

Unit day 2014 was as always an awesome happening. This year Melanie and Kim arranged it and guest lecturers were Dr. Steven Declerck from NIOO-KNAW in the Netherlands and Prof. Emeritus Lars Leonardsson from LU.

Not only did we get to listen to excellent scientific talks, but also enjoy a senior-scientist-switcheroo where the senior scientists had to present each other. Best switcheroo was decided by voting and ended with a tie between Karin/Daniel and Lasse/Emma.

A person with a wig stands in pink smoke.

This year’s Titanic award went to the nominee having an actual boat breakdown. Congratulation, Per Carlsson.

A game of ”guess the Christmas present by solving the rhyme” (rhymes also created by the contestants) was won by Karin/Leo/Emma/Daniel. Mostly because of the other teams excellence in rhyming?

A lot of happy people are sitting around a dinner table.

The evening was ended with a traditional Christmas potluck.
