Toad excursion

Some people are standing talking in the dark.

On Thursday last week there was a SACT evening excursion to the large limestone quarry at Limnhamn to look at green toads. We left Lund at 20.30, the heavy rain stopped as we drove to Malmö, and we enjoyed a warm couple of hours in the huge, sheltered arena of the quarry. The toads performed beautifully for us: we also heard and saw the eagle owl, and found an edible frog, a common toad and plenty of common newts. Arne Hegemann took these nice pictures. A big Thank You to our leaders (Mats Wirén and Jon Loman) and to the car and minibus drivers!
